Sage Horsey & Co. are embarking on their first national tour to share Sore Bones in three amazing cities, throughout six beautiful venues. One year in the making, Sore Bones is the company’s premiering full length work. Wrapped in grief and sarcasm, breath and texture, the piece envelope’s the audience in a world that is familiar yet far away. Sore Bones gives the viewer a space to come home to an experience, and inevitably come home to one’s own body.

On a humid summer evening in 2018, Sore Bones premiered for the first time in an abandoned bank in Winooski, Vermont. With no expectation of ever doing the performance again, Sage and one other dancer executed the piece in front of nine close friends and colleagues. Six months and five sold out shows later, Sage had incidentally completed her first touring body of work.
